She walks without fear of the future

She walks without fear of the future

Many fear the future. Many woman are tired and worn out. Perhaps it’s the daily grind of having children and needing to take care of them. Perhaps it’s the baby stage, or perhaps something awful and traumatizing has happened. Perhaps you’re afraid of that the future holds because you just cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Whatever the fear of the future holds, it will be okay. Ladies – it will be fine. In Proverbs 31 it talks about a woman of great worth. She is someone who manages her household, brings in extra income, takes care of her children and I don’t need to continue. I think you get the picture. However, there is one specific part of the passage that I would like to point out today.

In Proverbs 31:25 it mentions that this lady, is one that has strength, dignity and is not afraid of the future. Her feet walks secure, her mind and her actions align. “But what about the stuff going on?” you ask. The kind of strength and dignity this lady has, coupled with an unwavering faith in God is what helps her walk with her feet secure. She is someone who is deeply grounded in the Word of God. She is someone who has experienced God’s provision and blessings, both in good times and in bad times. More than that, she is someone who draws from God’s strength every day and commits her way to Him, every day. In the books of Proverbs and Psalms there are many references to committing your actions to God, followed by the assurance that He will give success. So firstly, she commits her day and her actions to God. Secondly, she knows how to put her faith into action and trust God. She knows that what He says, He will do. She knows how to hear His voice. This comes through spending time with God in the quiet.

Knowing God’s word, His voice and the promises He has given her, she can walk without fear of the future, knowing that He is in control. She can put on strength and dignity, knowing that she is not in charge. Someone else is in charge, and that is her heavenly Father. It is a walking into what God has already said in His word, and what He has already commanded and promised. It is having a firm trust that she can trust Him, regardless of what the future looks like, without fear, knowing that He never goes back on His word.

If you desire this type of trust in God, it can be yours. You can walk without fear of what the future holds. I would like to challenge you dear friend, to start digging into the scriptures. Start reading God’s word consistently, in good and bad times. When the bad times come, or the uncertainty comes, God’s word will give you the strength and you will be able to walk with dignity through stormy valleys. You will walk without fear of the future, knowing that you know that you know that He is in charge, not you.
