You! Yes You! God Wants To Hear From You! Don’t Be A Stranger!
Did you know that God longs and wants to hear from you? He created you! He wants to have a personal relationship with you! He loves you so much, that He given you the chance to spend your day in communication with Him, because He wants your company!
Scripture says that we were created to have a relationship with the one and only living God. There are many verses that talks about God wanting to hear from you! Revelation 3:20 is one of them, that speaks about God standing at the door of your heart and knocking. All you need to do is open the door and then He would come in and have a meal with you. I don’t know about you, but if someone wants to have a meal with me, it means that they want to hear from me and spend time with me. It is the same with God. He wants to hear from you!
In Matthew 11:28-29 God is saying that if you are burdened down with stuff, that you need to go to Him and that He will comfort you. I don’t know how you get comforted, but I love it when someone listens to my problems. Someone is hearing from me, what my issues are, and that provides comfort. God not only wants to hear from you, but He also wants to be there to comfort you, lift you up and give you rest.
Psalm 139:1-18 speaks about God knowing us inside and out. The God who knows every thought, and who knew you before you were even born, wants you to talk to him. He wants to hear from you, because we were created to be in relationship with Him. He has His hand upon your life. This is a good reason to talk to Him, because He already knows it all!
Ephesians 5:22-23 speaks about Christ being to the believers like a husband is to a wife. You can’t be married and never hear from your spouse. Your spouse and you have to communicate to make the marriage work. In the same way, God likens His relationship with us. He wants you to talk to Him.
God wants to hear from you through prayer. In Ephesians 4:6-7 it speaks about talking to God in prayer. When you are anxious, God wants to hear from you! He wants you to tell Him everything that is worrying you, and along with this comes a promise that He will give you peace!
Dear friend, God wants to hear from you. The main reason is that He gave His only son to die for your sins on the cross. This means that God loved you so much, that He made that sacrifice for you. John 3:16 says so. All you need to do is to believe in Him and accept Him into your life as Lord and King. This once again is an indication that God wants to hear from you. He is crazy about you and went through hell for you! All you need to do is say “Yes, Jesus. I accept the gift of salvation through your death on the cross. Please come into my life. I’m sorry for the sins I have done that do not please you. I ask that from today on, you would make me your own and start me on a new path. Stay with me forever.” It is as simple as that.
